Day +153 Clinic day

Recap on clinic visit
  • WBC: 2.91
  • HGB: 10.5
  • Platelet: 199
  • Port flush, phlebotomy (took out a 200 cc of blood) and aerosol pentamidine
  • No medication changes
  • Counts continue to look great! And Victoria has no evidence of GVHD at all.  According to our primary bmt Dr. Haight, Victoria could not be more in better shape than where she is now and our Dr. hopes every patient could be like her.
Now, we are down to once a month for clinic visit and we don't have clinic until May 1st. Yay!!!
Our life is not quite back to normal but, it feels like we are adjusting well with her recovery. Honestly, I often get anxious to show Viki more of this world but, at the same time, I'm humbled by realizing how blessed we are, how much we are prayed for, how far we have come.  Truly, we are living in a miracle every single day.

This month was a kind of catching-up time for us:  play dates with friends, playing in the playground, bicycling, hanging out with family and usual things that we have missed in nearly 6 months. Now, I appreciate even more with the things that I used to take for granted. Praying everyday for Viki to be medicine-free so she can go to school and church. Waiting is hard but, I am confident that the day will come soon. "One day at a time, one day at a time".
